OOTD : Festival mood

Lately I had a pretty rough time - as usual I am jammed with works, but also my dear cat decided to jump out through the window and broke it's leg. I spend almost a week visiting a vet, twice a day. Gladly, my kitty has a plaster now but seems to be otherwise okay, thank God.

And this summer I decided to stay in the city, so it is my first summer in the city, and I am making a transition between nature and city, so this explains my newest look. My look was inspired by all the summer festival mood and this awesome bag by DobShop, and even though I have mentioned this before, you have to check these bags ASAP, because it is not only beautiful but also custom made. And did I mentioned that Dovilė Bielousovaitė, the creator of these bags, is an awesome gal and I am honoured to work with people like her :) 

Also this dress, even if it is a bit shorter than I am use to, is something I found in a second hand store and was very fond of, because it somehow reminded me of nineties.

Last week I opened my wandering season, so I went almost straight from a country side to the beach (with a short stop at home to take some clothes). But as probably we all know, Lithuanian sea side is not that warm, even during the summer. So all my hopes for funny dresses and sunbathing were crushed, so I am sharing these pictures from the beach - windy and cloudy. Bare with me and have a beautiful weekend :)

Right now I am honestly jealous of all the people in all the warm places. Either it is springing Paris or sunny and warm Miami, I rather be there. Because it is almost mid spring, and it still feels like winter sometimes. It's also lots of good thing about spring - I get really excited to work of things. I usually get distracted by all the things that need to be done rather then focusing on what I want to do, and let's hope it's not gonna be the case. Or I need to change my routine and move my lazy ass much more.
But skip my complains and see my look where I went a bit blueish - something I don't do often.

Šiuo metu tikrai pavydžiu visiems žmonėms, gyvenantiems ar esantiems ten, kur šilta. Ar tai žaliuojantis Paryžius ar saulėtasis Majamis, tai yra vieta, kur aš mieliau būčiau. Juk dabar jau beveik pavasario vidurys, o aš kartais dar pasijaučiu lyg būtų žiema. B
Bet pavasaris turi ir gerų dalykų - aš labai užsivedu kurti. Dažniausiai aš užsiverčiu įvairiais buitiniais reikalais, taip pat ne savo reikalais, ir pamirštu tai, ką aš iš tiesų noriu daryti. Taigi tikiuosi niekas mano įkvėpimo šį pavasarį nesužlugdys. Arba man tiesiog reikia pergalvoti savo rutiną ir daugiau dirbti.
Tačiau užteks čia mano sapalionių - geriau pažiūrėkite look'o nuotraukas, kur aš vieną iš tų retų kartų įvedžiau šiek tiek spalvos.

Hello everyone,
So doesn't spring feels great? It does, I know! And the best thing is that I can wear coats again!
The thing with me is I love two options of clothing - a coat or a t-shirt. So spring and summer are my favourite seasons all the way. I am also aware of the fact that this coat keeps popping in my blog, but it is one of my favourite pieces of clothing I own. I also have this amazing envelope purse from Dobshop.

Argi pavasaris nėra puikus metų laikas? Ir puikiausias dalykas yra tas, kad pagaliau vėl galiu nešioti paltus ir lietpalčius ir puspalčius ir kitokias paltų atmainas. Ypač džiaugiuosi nes mano dvi mėgstamiausios apsirengimo opcijos yra arba paltas arba marškinėliai (arba abu kartu). Taigi pavasaris ir vasara yra mano mėgstamiausi sezonai. Aš taip pat žinau, kad šis paltas ne pirmą kartą pasirodo mano bloge, tačiau tai yra vienas mano mėgstamiausių rūbų, kurio tikriausiai nemainyčiau į beveik jokį kitą rūbą. Ir taip pat radau progą išsinešti pasiganyti šią nuostabią voko formos rankinę, sukurtą Dobshop.

Hey folks!

So yesterday I went to meet with Dovilė Bielousovaitė, the pruod owner and creator of Dobshop. I visited her in her home/studio, and not only she is amazing craftswoman, but she is amazing person. We talked about life, travels, and of course - bags. And just look at this backpack - made from genuine leather, big, comfortable, stylish, and Dovilė herself traveled around China with one of those, so it means that it is also durable. Also she told me, that she creates her bags to her every customer personally - depending on their wants, needs and even hight.

And Yes, I did change my hair colour. For now :D I was only trying out, but what do you think of this?

Sveiki mielieji!
Taigi vakar nuėjau susitikti su Dovile Bielousovaite, puikia Dobshop sąvininke ir kūrėja. Aš ją aplankiau jos namuose/studijoje, kurioje ji man aprodė visą savo kūrybinę erdvę, pašnekėjome apie gyvenimą, keliones, idėjas ir žinoma rankines. Ir galiu pasakyti, kad ji yra ne tik nepaprastai talentinga kūrėja, žmogus, mokantis iš odos padaryti stebuklus, bet ir labai fainas žmogus. Tik pažiūrėkit į šią kuprinę - ne tik patogi, padaryti iš natūralios odos, talpi, didelė ir svarbiausia stilinga, bet ir, kaip pati Dovilė teigė, ilgaamžė, pati išbandė bekeliaudama po Kiniją.
Be to, Dovilė pasakojo, kad kiekvienam klientui kuria asmeniškai. Pagal norus, poreikius, ir net ūgį.
Ir Taip, aš pakeičiau plaukų spalvą, bet tik laikinai. Pavasaris - noras paeksperimentuoti. Ką jūs manote?

With all the beautiful colours in the world, I have to be honest to myself, I mostly like black, white, grey and silver. They never disappoint me. You can easily mix them together or just pick one. They are so plain, but also have so many shades (I think everybody expects a reference to THAT movie, but no, it won't happen). But colours will come soon to our lives, very soon :)

Pasaulyje egzistuojant tiek gražių spalvų, aš turiu išlikti ištikima sau ir pripažinti, kad juoda, balta, pilka ir sidabrinė yra mano mėgstamiausios. Jos niekada manęs nenuvilia. Jas lengvai gali miksuoti vieną su kita arba tiesiog pasirinkti vieną. Jos yra tokios paprastos tačiau kartu ir pilnos atspalvių (aš manau, kad čia visi tikisi užuominos į TĄ filmą, tačiau jos nebus). Tačiau tuoj spalvos įsiverš į mūsų gyvenimus:)

Surviving winter

Tikriausiai daugeliui pažįstamas jausmas, kai visi žieminiai rūbai kelia pasibjaurėjimą ir svajoji apie pavasarį - internete jau akimis peržiūrinėji pavasarinių drabužių skiltis, o spintoje gulinčius ar kabančius megztinius planuoji nukišti kur nors po lova. Bent jau man taip yra. Ir visai nepadeda tai, kad parduotuvės pristatė pavasario/vasaros kolekcijas ir širdis salsta pamačius tai, ką galėtum nešioti jei būtų pavasaris.

Tačiau aš pagalvojau, kad dūsauti neverta ir reikia išnaudoti šį bjaurų laikotarpį pasiruošiant pavasariui - susidariau sąrašą rūbų, kuriuos must have pavasariui ir stengiuosi išsirausti iš darbų kalnų tam, kad pavasarį galėčiau skirti daugiau laiko malonumams (nors aš kaip realistė suprantu, kad vienus darbus pabaigus jų vietą kaip mat užima kiti).

Todėl šiandien ir dalinuosi su jumis look'u, kuris man duoda optimizmo galvojant apie geresnius laikus. Ir net, kas man dažniausiai nebūdinga, įnešiau šiek tiek spalvos (apart mano bjaurios telefono spalvos, nes jis tikriausiai vienintelis spalvotas daiktas, kurį su savimi nuolatos nešiojuosi:)

I bet everybody knows the feeling, when you get so sick and tired of your winter clothes and you start to dream about spring - you start to scroll trough the internet clothing stores looking for something spring-ish, and you already plan to hide all your sweaters somewhere under the bed. At least thats what I do. And it doesn't help that all clothing stores already have spring/summer collections and your heart just melts when you see all those clothes that you could wear if it would be spring already.

But I thought that it is not worth whining for, and I should use this obnoxious time to get ready for spring - I made a list of clothes I must buy for spring and I am also trying to get rid of as many works as possible to have more time to enjoy spring (although I know that as soon as I get rid of one task, there is another one to take the place).

So today I am sharing the look, that gives me optimism thinking about better days. And even if it is uncommon for me to wear anything with color accents, today I broke that rule and brought some bright green into my life (apart from my ugly-coloured phone, which is probably the only coloured thing I carry with me all the time).

Kartais, kai turi tokį darbą, kai tenka dirbti ir savaitgaliais, pavargsti nuo rutinos ir galvoje sukasi tik darbo reikalai. Tokiais momentais jaučiuosi, kad noriu apsirengti kuo patogiau ir negalvoti apie kojas trinančius aukštakulnius, žvarbų šaltį lauke, ir kitus su gražiais rūbais susijusius nepatogumus. Todėl neteiskite, pasidalinsiu su jumis šiuo look'u. Kadangi mes visi žmonės ir drabužiai yra dalis mūsų gyvenimo.

Kadangi žiema yra iš esmės vienintelis sezonas, kurio metu gali nešioti dirbtinio kailio švarkelius, su jumis dalinuosi savo naujausiu look'u, įkvėptu būtent tokio švarkelio. Pagalvojau, kad turiu paminėti, kad žiemą mažai fotografuojuosi lauke, dėl tos priežasties, kad ilgai prasirgau ir mano draugas, besirūpinantis mano sveikata, uždraudė man iki tol, kol atšis oras fotografuotis lauke. Todėl jau pradedu svajoti apie pavasarį arba šiltus kraštus.

Because I think winter is the only season you can wear faux fur vests and jackets without any scare to be called out crazy, I share with you my latest look, inspired exactly by one of my faux fur jackets. I thought I should mention, that during the winter season, I won't make lots of lookbook photoshoots outside my apartment or any other indoor areas, because my boyfriend, being very good boyfriend and caring about my well being, prohibited me having photoshoots outside until the weather gets any warmer. That is the reason why I started dreaming of spring and tropical destinations.

Visiems, kurie laukė iš manęs naujienų, esu skolinga atsiprašymą. Šventiniu laikotarpiu, tikriausiai nuo persistengimo sukurti tobulas šventes, buvau kankinama siaubingo peršalimo ir iš esmės pragulėjau lovoje. Dabar, pagaliau iki galo pasveikau ir dalinuosi pirmuoju šiais metais look'u.

Ir jaučiuosi skolingą tą įrašą, kuriame papasakoju, ką sau pasižadėjau ateinančiais metais, tačiau tokio įrašo nebus, nes nusprendžiau, kad nežinau, kur šiais metais mane nuves keliai. Tik nusprendžiau, kad ketinu šiais metais dirbti daugiau, o tai reiškia, kad arba mano bloge matysite daugiau look'ų ir galbūt kitų temų, arba daugiau dalinsiuosi tuo, ką veikiu už blogo ribų.

For everyone, who was waiting some news from me, I feel like I owe an apology. During the biggest holidays of the year, probably from trying to hard to create perfect holidays, I was sick with major flue and barely got out of the bed. Now, when I finally feel healthy again, I share this new and first look of the year.

I also feel like I own this one post, where I tell everybody about my personal goals and resolutions for 2015, but that post won't gonna happen, because I understood, that I don't know what this year will gonna bring for me. The only thing I decided is to work more, and it means, that on the blog you gonna see either more looks and other topics related, or I will share more about what am I doing beyond the blog. 

Stay healthy and don't lose enthusiasm whole year :)

Šiandien norėčiau pristatyti dar vieną meno ir mados bendradarbiavimo vaisių - tai Santa Muerte (No War. Just Beauty), kurią sukūrė Sunday Dancers. Manau, jau supratote, kad kalbu apie aksesuarą, kurį sunku būtų pavadinti aksesuaru, kadangi aksesuarai/papuošalai dažniausiai būna tik prieskoniai, o šiuo atveju tai tampa pagrindiniu menu patiekalu. Šis kūrinys apjungia praeities simboliką su šiandieninėmis aktualijomis, paskaninant žiupsneliu ironijos ir žinoma didele dalimi moteriškumo. Today I want to present another product of the collaboration of fashion and art - Santa Muerte (No War. Just Beauty), created by Sunday Dancers. I think you already understood, that I am talking about this accessory, which hardly can be named accessory, because accessories/jewelry most of the time are just spices, and this one is certainly the main dish of the menu. This piece combines the symbolism of the past with the issues of the present, seasoned with a hint of irony and a lot of femininity on top. If you crave to see more from this group of artists, or want to see the works in reality, you have great opportunity to do that, because next weekend ( 20 -21st of December) Sunday Dancers will be a part of Christmas Design Market, which I will attend also, so don't miss this event.

Days to biggest holidays of the year passes so fast (at least for me personally), so today I want to present you the look dedicated for New Year celebration inspired by New Yorker. I was never a fan of standard appearance, so for this case also I created a bit unconventional look.

I stick to my basic colour scheme - black and white, high wasted shorts is my own version of a tiny dress, to feel feminine, yet comfortable, with classic white blouse for something simple. I spice it up with this amazing fringe jacket (I have to admit, no matter how cheesy it may sound, I am a fan of fringe since it is so much fun) and something whimsical - this heart shaped bag. And since the fringe got this southern american vibe, I matched the shoes to the jacket - a version of a cowboy shoe (since wearing heels to the party seems to be whole lots of pain to my feet).

Dienos iki didžiųjų metų švenčių lekia nepastebimai (bent jau man asmeniškai), todėl šiandien dalinuosi savo Naujųjų metų vakarėlio aprangos versija. Niekuomet nebuvau standartinių aprangų megėja, todėl ir šiuo atveju pasirinkau, mano nuomone, nestandartinį derinį.

Aš stengiuosi išlikti prie pagrindinių spalvų paletės - juoda ir balta, šortai aukštu liemeniu yra mano trumpos juodos suknelės interpretacija, kad jausčiaus moteriškai, tačiau tuo pat metu patogiai, suderinti su balta klasikine palaidine dėl jos paprastumo. Viską paįvairinu šia nepaprasta striukele su kutais (turiu pripažinti, kad ir kaip banaliai skamba, esu didelė kutų fanė, kadangi juos devėti yra taip smagu) ir širdelės formos rankinė tam, kad įnešti šiek tiek naivumo. Ir kadangi striukelė su kutais turi tam tikrą pietų amerikos pojūtį, aš prie jos priderinau batus - kaubojiškų batų atmainą (kadangi devėti aukštakulnius vakarėlyje man asmeniškai atrodo skausminga).

Inner nerd

Man visuomet patiko žmonės su akiniais. Ne nuo saulės, bet būtent tais, kurie padeda geriau matyti. Ypač kai žmonės sugeba sujungti savo vidinį moksliuką ir stilingąją savo pusę. Tačiau man akinių niekuomet nereikėjo ir juos nešioti be okulisto rekomendacijos visuomet atrodė kaip žmonių klaidinimas. Todėl šiandien džiaugiuosi bent truputį galinti atskleisti tą vidinį moksliuką ir pasidžiaugti tuo, kaip akiniai mano nuomone keičia mano charakterio atspindėjimą.

I always loved people with glasses. Not with sunglasses, but with those, which can help you see better to be exact. Especially when people manage to combine their inner nerd and their stylish side together. But I never needed glasses and wearing them without the prescription of the doctor always seemed misleading. So today I'm having fun with glasses and revealing my nerdy side, and I am really thinking that glasses change my character perception.
